A lot depends on the context, but we usually say
in my work
at my workplace

Can I use both (at & in) in the following sentence?
I’m going to talk about a time when I had to hurry to get ready for a trip with some colleagues while I was working in/at a previous job.
Thanks.

I'd use 'in', but the main problem is that the whole sentence just rambles on.

Well, I agree with you.
This sentence is the introductory sentence of an IELTS Speaking part 2 answer.
Just like with this sentence I have to ramble on in order to show off my ability to speak English....
Could you please tell me why you chose in but not at?
Thanks.

at is better for a location.
A job is not a location.
