Which preposition is correct?

The boatyard is located at/on the southern extremity of the harbour.

The wood lies at/on the southern extremity of the estate.

The cannons should be placed at/on the extremities of the field in case of enemy attack.

None of these sounds natural to me. I'd say: The boatyard is located in the southernmost part of the harbour. The wood lies in the southernmost part of the estate.

None of these sounds natural to me. I'd say:
