At the university

Hello,

Could you please tell me why the definite article (in "at the university) has to be used in the sentence below? Why is the zero article wrong here?

Training courses for several companies are held at the university in the summer.

Best wishes,
Lena

Presumably because the writer is referring to a specific university, Lena. 'At university' means 'at any university', 'in a university setting'.
