Essay & Composition Writing

At the present time, the population of some countries includes a relatively large number of young adults, compared with the number of older people. Do the advantages of this situation outweigh the disadvantages?

Nowadays, several regions of the world are witnessing a trend of the population is younger. Many people believe the advantages of this phenomenon would dominate the disadvantages. This essay will discuss both aspects and give my final conclusion.
Undoubtedly, there are several merits when the population includes a relatively large number of young adults. Initially, it could somehow boost the economy. Due to the fact that there would be a rich amount of human resources and some of them are properly educated, this labour source could contribute to developing the economy. Moreover, the young generation could help advance humankind. Owing to their new styles and creativity, the world would work in many different ways; therefore life would not only be more productive but also full of new visions.
However, it is undeniable that there are also several drawbacks when this phenomenon is more and more being popular. First and foremost, the elderly could not receive respect. Since these people are considered old and weak, youngsters would see them as a burden and look down on them. Furthermore, a part of the youth now are not willing to enhance and preserve traditional values but chasing things that are trendy and up-to-the-date; therefore social elites would be threatened and no longer exist in the long run
In conclusion, in this younger-populated world, there exist both pros and cons. I personally believe that the advantages could not outweigh the disadvantages and governments should have policies and subsidies to balance the world population age.
