At the first touch

I was reading a review of a smartphone when I read this following statement :

I knew it was love at the first touch...

I understand what the reviewer was trying to say but I was wondering if it shouldn't have been

"I knew it was love at first touch"...?

Please clarify this for me thanx ^.^

"love at first touch" seems neater and more elegant. It also more closely echoes the common expression "love at first sight", which presumably was the author's aim.

Do you mean, then, that 'love at the first touch' is still grammatical?

Then are we supposed to say 'love at the first sight' too?

I am so confused about the omissions of articles, especially in this case...

No. That one is a fixed expression.
