At or In

In this strenuously hectic and lively world, everybody is wrapped up in something, toiling at workplaces, slaving at home, exerting themselves to shine at/in almost everything.

Here, shine means excel. So, I checked online and in Oxford dictionary, shine precedes at in the example sentence but my auto-correct software is replacing it with 'in'.

Help please.
