Hi!
Can you say:
68 babies were born at the New Year celebration night....?

and another sentence:

68 babies were born at the New Year night from 31 December 2012 to 1 January2013.

q: when you talk about particular date, you use "on" preposition, but can you use "at" preposition in this case?
q: is it correct to use "the" article in this these sentences before New Year?
