I need clarification on this, it's driving me mad...
My wife and now daughter use "at least" in my opinion wrongly... i find it disrespectful when for example i've been busy working and i hear the words "can you at least clean X" this morning my daughter said "can you at least make me a cheese toasted sandwich please"
Sure even with manners saying please does not make it right..
Eg... Steve you've barely lifted a finger all day, can you at LEAST get me the report from that desk"
The intent of frustration comes through in the use of "at least" implying you've done nothing else...
So that's why i wish they would not use "at least" unless it's required but all i get is i'm an ***...
Am i wrong?
