At home with, in the know about

Hi,

“My friend was surprised when he noticed that I was at home with the problems we were solving as part of our homework.”

Can I use ‘at home with’ when I’m confident about what I’m doing?

“I was in the know about what we needed to do to solve the last problem, which doesn’t usually happen.”

Can ‘in the know’ be used like that?

Thank you.

Use "felt at home" (to feel at home with)

No. You are "in the know" if you are among those privy to hidden information, and you are not in the know "about" it.
