At dinner

When I'm invited to a dinner (is it dinner or a dinner?) and after eating I feel satisfied. The host may ask me to eat more. What is a nice way of telling him/her that my stomach is full and I can't eat anymore?

thanks

Either 'dinner' or 'a dinner' is fine here: the former is the mealtime, the latter is the meal. '... or a variation on this theme.

'It's absolutely delicious, but I just could not eat another bite-- I'm stuffed!'... or a variation on this theme.

I guess you can also say "Thanks, but I'm full" I'm not sure if that'd be too informal, though.
