at any moment/anytime/right away

The man continued to watch the butterfly because he expected that, at any moment, the wings would enlarge and expand so that they could support the body, which would contract in time.

Hi,

Is "at any moment" in the above interchangeable with "anytime/right away?"

Besides, does "enlarge" amount to "become large?"

Last, could I interpret "expand" as "stretch/extend?" Thanks.
