Asymptomatic

Asymptomatic disease is one that shows/expereinces/has/exhibits no symptoms.
Does a disease show/experience/have/exhibit symptoms or does a patient show/experience/have/exhibit symptoms?
Thanks

I think it's more logical that the patient has/etc/ the symptoms, while the disease itself probably causes them.

Can a patient SHOW symptoms? Is that a good word or the others are better?
