Asthma vs pneumonia

Hi.

I would be grateful if you could tell me how pneumonia is different from asthma?

My dictionary inroduce asthma as a mecdical condition and pneumonia as a serious illness, but the consequence of both is the same which makes it difficult for the paitient to breathe.

Any help is highly appreciated

Asthma is a condition characterized by periodic attacks throughout your whole life. Sufferers usually carry around an inhaler with medication which they can inhale to help them breathe when they get an attack. You can't cure it with antibiotics because it's not an infection.
