Association Names: Plural if Assn is omitted?

0 I'm working on an abbreviation for the United Lutheran Mission Association. The association is a group of churches that pool their mission funds to start new mission congregations. The mission is the object of the group. The association refers to the member congregations who are sponsoring the effort. 02br
