Associated with

One of my colleagues used "associated to." I said it should read "associated with." Is there a list that I could generate addressing correct usage of verbs followed by "with" and "to"? Thanks and have a great day.

PS Does the question mark in the next to last sentence go before or after the quotation mark? Emotion: wink

Top answer

'Associated' is used mostly with 'with', but it can be followed by 'to' when it means 'elected as an associate'. (EX) They were associated to Royal Academy = They were elected associates of Royal Academy.
