This film got a bit lost in the shuffle, I think. I just came from seeing it and was mightily impressed by the writing and by Sean Penn's performace -- all the performances, fact.
I can't remember a fiklm in which the tension built so devastatingly toward an inevitably tragic end.
Well worth seeing.
And... I'd be very interested in knowing how it came to be made. It's not an obviously commercial project, but someone (maybe Leonardo DiCaprio? He has an Exec Prod credit) must have championed it.
