Hello everyone.
In my native language, we can ask some questions which don't have any connection with the main verb.
We don't have to ask all questions to the verb. We can also ask some questions about a noun in the sentence.
Examples,
1-) We are talking about the football match in Barcelona.
What city are you talking about the football match in?
2-) England will declare war on a country with 100 battleships.
How many battleships will England declare war on a country with?
.. These kinds of questions. It can go on like this.
Do you think that these questions are grammatically(for the English grammar rules) correct?
(Even if they are not used in spoken English or they are clumsy. Doesn't matter. I am just curious about whether they are OK in the English linguistics or not.)
Thank you very much.
I hesitate to call those incorrect grammar, but they are certainly clumsy, strange and unnatural grammar! Clive
