Asking question

if i say "i do get up" is it right b/c i read that when we emphisise on work or doing sth we can say like this i just want to know is it in american and british english grammar?

It's fine, in a suitable context. eg



Mother: You never get up when I tell you it's time for school.

Teenage son: I do get up. But then I go back to bed.
