Asking if they have a vacancy in a specific job position and applying for it

Hi!

I would like to write to different companies and ask them if they have vacancies as a retail sales person because I would like to work as one. How should I structure my letter?

My suggestion:

'Hello

My name is Jordan and I would like to inquire if you are looking for a new sales assistant because I would love to work with you in this position.
Please see my CV attached.

Regards
Jordan'

I feel like my sentence is not perfect. Please give me some pointers or tell me exactly what I should write.

You should be a little more formal: Human Resources ABC Company address Dear Sirs: I would like to inquire about a possible position with ABC Company as a sales assistant. I am a gregarious person and a self-starter, and I am very interested in beginning a career in sales. I have [attached/enclosed] my resume for your consideration, and I am looking forward to an opportunity for a personal interview, should you find it of interest.
