Asking for help with a phrase

I received an email from ets which said that all its files about me indicated a clear balance. I have no clue of its meaning. Does that mean I do not own ets any money. I have applied for gre sub test anyway.

Top answer

Yes, a clear balance would be nothing owing (and no credit). If you owed money or had a positive balance, they would quote a sum.
