Asking for help!

I'm buying a Batman mask. It's getting shipped to my place and I'm asking customer service a question:

How long does it take for me to get the mask?

Thanks, but can I also use what I typed?

Why did you ask us, then? I wouldn't.

Just to see if it's a correct phrase or not. In the customer service industry, I get different questions in different formats all the time, so I was just curious if the sentence makes sense or not. That's all!

I mean I understood it and got what he was trying to tell me but is it a workable setnence?

Your suggestion will certainly be understood but you should replace "does" with "will."

Here are some alternatives.
How long will it take for the mask to arrive.
When can I expect the mask to arrive.
When can I expect to receive the mask.
