Asking for a job confirmation

Dear Sir,

Few months ago I applied for a summer job to a few farms abroad. The owners should have confirmed the job until now. I would like to remind them that I am still interested. Can I write something like this, or is it too short.

Dear Mr.

Have you made any decision about me, I am really interested in this job. Please give me a chance and you won’t regret it, I promise.

Best regards,
xx

Now when I read this, it's kinda stupid. If you can rewrite it I would be very grateful.

Dear Sir/Madam, I am writing to inquire if you have made a decision regarding my application to work on your farm. I am a hard and dedicated worker and I believe that you will not be disappointed should you decide to hire me. Thank you once more for your kind consideration and I await your reply.
