Asking about the day

Is it okay to say "how is your day?" and "have a nice day!" at any time of the day? (because I like how they sound.)

Also do these sentences work as well:
-how is your evening?
-how is your night?
-how WAS your day?
-have a nice midnight!

Top answer

" This is not a natural thing to say. ', as long as there is some part of the day left. It would sound a bit odd in the evening.

  • " This is usually said as a form of 'good-bye'.

Hi,

Is it okay to say "how is your day?" This is not a natural thing to say. You could say eg 'How is your day going?', as long as there is some part of the day left. It would sound a bit odd in the evening.
and "have a nice day!" This is usually said as a form of 'good-bye'. Again. OK

Thanks! I have a few additional questions.

"How is your day?" is not right unless you add "going?" at the end, but "How was your day?" works without the "going?" part at the end. Am I correct in thinking this way?

How about "How was your day going?" Would it make it wrong if you added "going?" (I'm just trying to see other possibilities here)
