Asking about result

I'm applying for an IT assistant position. When I asked about the position, it seems that he already accepts me, because he says he is looking for one person right now and he also asks about my schedule; but I still have to fill about an application, which contains several short-answer questions. I have talked to him many times before regarding any of my technical issues, so we are not so distant. I want to email him to ask about the result, but I don't know how to ask.
