Asking a question in a formal letter?

Hi!

I would like to include the following line in a formal letter I'm preparing. As simple as it should be, I can't for the life of me figure out whether I should include a question mark on not. Here's the sentence: 'I would therefore like to enquire if I may send you the item.'

Would appreciate any help.
