Ask housing department for early move-in

Hi,
I am trying to write an email to housing department at my school to move in earlier. My term period is from 8 August 2012 to May 2013 but I learn from the website that the school can not accommodate arrival prior to 15 August. Could you please help to have a look at below email and give me your advice?

"Dear Sirs,

My name is ...and I am a coming student. I was granted housing on campus during the term period from 8 August 2012 to May 2013.

I have just read “Instructions on move-in days” on the Housing’s website and learned that “students can move in as early as 15 August”. I have to go to another state to attend a mandatory orienation course for international student from 6 to 10 August. Following this program’s policy I must leave for your school by 10 August. It will be difficult and costly for me to find a place to stay in ....... for five days before moving in to campus, as I have no relatives here.

I hope you will allow me to move in as early as 10 August. This will enables me to settle down and attend the school's preparation courses from 13 to 15 August.
