Ask for choice of word

Hello Sir/Madam,

I need one word to describe the ground which has been settled (slightly subsided) and now they are making good this problem by adding something somehow to make the ground become normal. Can you suggest any good word? I use "make good settlement" but it sounds not good at all ^^.
