Ask about bands/designers ?

How do I ask people about what is the brand or designer or manufacturer of their clothes or cars? I remember people use simple words to ask these questions, but I just can't remember how to ask. Thank you!

If you are not sure whether the clothing is of a designer, you can ask "What brand of clothing is that shirt?" as an example. Or you can say "Who is the designer of that shirt?" Or even more simply, "Who makes that shirt?" so as not to offend whether it's a designer label or mass produced brand.
