"as...as" structure

We often use the structure "as…as…" to say that people or things are equal in some way.

e.g. She is as pretty as a flower.

But, could I use two adjectives between "as...as"?

e.g. The mood is as heavy and gloomy as the weather outside.

Two adjectives work. Some might want a second 'as' before the second adjective, especially if the two modifiers aren't normally associated. [It's as simple and clear as A-B-C. ~ It' as normal and as expected as it can be.]
