Aren't you supposed to use a comparison when starting with 'as ...as'?
Which of these are natural?
As good as he has been on the court, he's been just as good off the court.
As well as he shoots, he hasn't settled for tough shots.
As much as I like John, his brother is a better player.
As much as I like John, I like his brother more.
I don't see how this makes sense. Does it?
As many times as I've seen players get injured, I really don't like the sight of it.
