As...as..

Hallo dear teachers

I have some concerns with this. How is as..as used in negative sentences?

Is it used like this? Not so ... as or not as..as?

I have read in a grammar book that when we have a negative sentence then the first option is right (not so..as). E.g. She is not so clever as her sister.


Is it correct?

Yes you can use both. I would say that "not as...as" is the preferred version, but both are fine.
