As well as making money businesses also have social responsibilities. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Nowadays, businesses tend to focus on making profits and struggle to survive in the competitive world, but many people believe that they are also responsible for society. To a large extent, I agree with this point of view.
On the one hand, making money is the top priority in any enterprise. It seems logical that this money is used to meet their need. In other words, they must cover their running costs, including employees' salaries, payments for bills, and infrastructure. Furthermore, they need to invest in another project to turn a profit and expand their business scale. With a high revenue, they will pay more taxes to the government. As a consequence, the authority can use this capital to enhance the quality of life of the whole community.
On the other hand, companies should not run with the sole aim of maximizing profit, they play a broader role in making society better. It can be explained that enterprises can support nonprofit organizations and help them to collect money from the public to help the disadvantaged. Or they can provide occupation for the unemployed.
In conclusion, despite the importance of making money, enterprises also have a social obligation.
