As well as...

Hello,

Could you tell me if the sentence #1 below is correct?

#1
The effective and practical trainings as well as understanding theories at your university can help me establish new trainings for children.

I'm wondering if different kinds of word classes can come before and after "as well as". In this case, noun and -ing form.

Thank you!

Thanks a lot!

Now I understood that I should use simly "and" in this case :-)
jaguartree'as well as' also implies that the item following it is of lesser importance,
I see... but dose it always happen??
I feel like "A as well as B" can mean that B is not less important or focusing on B rather than A in some context...

Thank you!!
