as well as

Hello,

1. He gave oranges to his brothers.

He gave oranges to his friends.

I have to join these sentences using "as well as".

A) He gave oranges to his brothers as well as to his friends.

B) He gave oranges to his brothers as well as his friends.

Which one is correct between (A) and (B)?

I want to know that "to" used in (A) is required.

Thanks.

hanuman_2000 I want to know that if "to" used in (A) is required. It is not required, but it makes the meaning so much more clear that it is a much better sentence with "to". CJ
