As we look forward to

Hi

In the following statement issued 2 years ago by the ceo of a bank, how can "as we look forward to " be paraphrased?

"As we look forward to 2009, I'm optimistic for the reasons below. Firstly, we don't have to worry about credit losses as we reduced our exposure to...."

In my understanding, "Just like we have a positive view about 2009, I'm optimistic for the reasons below..." But I'm not sure...

Thanks in advance
