Which are correct and natural?




She’s gotten better as the year has progressed.


She’s gotten better as the year has gone on.


She’s gotten better over the year.





She’s getting better as the year progresses.


She’s getting better as the year is progressing.


She is getting better as the year goes on.


She is getting better over the year.



Which of these is natural?


The longer you wait, the harder it will get.


It will get harder and harder the longer you wait.


It will get harder and harder as you wait/go.

Fine - although we use 'got' in the UK rather than 'gotten'. Depends on whether you want to sound British or not!
