Would you say that both these sentences are equally natural?

Should we leave now that the car is repaired?

Should we leave now as the car is repaired?

...but I am not familiar with the role of "that" in a sentence like this. I just heard it in a film. Is it working in the sense of "because"? Could you please tell me how you find these sentences?

Should we postpone the visit that he is sick?

That it is raining so hard it wouldn't be wise to take the car out.
