As usual vs as always

Hi.
Do you see as always and as usual identical in the following sentence?

You look great, as usual/always.

I have the impression that always carries more emphatic tone than usual.
Your opinion is appreciated.

Yes. Consider that "usual" is "not always". It's "frequent, but less than always".
