Golgoth rules the world - or does he? The armored despot thinks he controls most of the populated Earth, ruling through military might and fear. But he can't even trust his own super-powered staff as some plot to free themselves from his grip. It's a tumultuous time as the balance of power begins to shift.

I'd like to know whether "there is" has been omitted after "as." and if so, "there is" can be omitted also in an adverbial clause not being a concessive clause("although~/though").

No. There is obviously a mistake, but it is impossible to determine what the original text might have been. Your guess that "there is" was mistakenly omitted is as good as any.

Yes. I hadn't seen that possibility. Where did you get this idea? If we look at it like this, the sentence IS grammatical.
