As Terrence Steadman that night

Hi! Everybody!

Could you have a look for me at this sentence below. I guess I am a little confused about this “as”, 1) Is “as” here used as an adverb or a conjunction ? 2)Then does this sentence mean “All I know is that somebody wanted me in the same garage as Terrence Steadman was in the garage that night. / All I know is that somebody wanted me and Terrence Steadman to be in the same garage that night” ?? Am I getting this one in a correct way?
