As such

Hi,

"I am a huge animal lover and as such I would like to start a charity for dogs."

Can 'as such' be used this way?

Thank you.

"As such" is not used like this. And the sentence needs to be more specific. For example: I'm a huge animal lover and would like to start a charity for homeless/disabled/abandoned dogs/dobermans/pit bulls/cocker spaniels/labradors.

"As such" is a hard, masculine type of phrase, generally not used for people, and when it is, it is typically used for men, not women, for example:

He used to be a Seal and as such likes physically demanding work and activities.

He's a frat boy and a Harvard Law School graduate, very aggressive, and as such would probably not be right for a woman who's looking for a church-goi
