I would prefer this one more:
As some guys say/said (both 'said' and 'say' are correct.)
But I think 'as' means 'because' here. How can you substitute it for 'like'?

I meant that:
We are in a forum.
Once(before, near past, couple of posts ago) some guys said that it'd be stupid to be naked when it's cold outside. (this is just an example of a talk.)
