As pyramids go

Hello, I'm reading an article:

http://findarticles.com/p/news-articles/dayton-daily-news/mi_8035/is_20050808/personal-pyramid-puzzler/ai_n43342993/

At the beginning it reads 'As pyramids go, this one is pretty disappointing'; does it mean 'this one is as disappointing as usual pyramids? '

Thanks.
