AS or THE MORE

Could you please help me correct these comparisons? Are AS and THE MORE interchangeable?

- The more time passes, the less you'll want to spend time with your wife./As time passes the less you'll want to spend time with your wife
- The more (the) time passes, the less you'll want to spend time with your wife.
- As (the) time passes the less you'll want to spend time with your wife.
- The more you progress/go, the harder the game gets/ As you progress/go the harder the game gets.
- The light gets brighter and bright as you go./The more you wait, the brighter the light gets.
- As time passes, you desire her less./The more time passes, the less you desire her...
- The later she gets here the more time we spend together.
