As my father did

1-I played the piano as my father did.
2-I played the piano, as my father did.

3-I played the piano as my father did it.
4-I played the piano, as my father did it.

Which of the above correspond to which of the below:
a-I played the piano and my father did as well.
b-I played the piano in the same way my father did.
c-I played the piano at the same time as my father.
d-I played the piano because my father did.

I'd pair 1 with b and 2 with a.

I'd find it a stretch to try to pair 3 and 4 with anything. I see what you're getting at, but that "it" on the end sounds so unidiomatic that I'd hesitate to assign any particular meaning to either one. Stretching, 3 can be paired with c or d, but I'd be surprised if any
