Had an age where economic strength shows more power than military force arrived, EU could have exerted as much influence as the US.

I wonder if the expression, 'as much influence as the us' ,makes sense and if this full sentence is understandable.

Ahn, there's nothing grammatically incorrect, but I would not have had to work as hard to understand if you had started with "If" instead of "Had," and used "era" instead of "age." Also, perhaps "shows" could be "holds"?
