As much as I should have

Because I've settled into some habits. Plus I have two kids I haven't seen as much as I should have.

1) Is this perfectly idiomatic?

2) Is haven't to be preferred over didn't if I'm still not seeing them as much as I should?

3) Is the have at the end of the sentence superfluous?

These apply more appropriately to the following version of your sentence:

I have two kids I don't see as much as I should.

(Not didn't here.)
