as much

In basketball when you say 'He went over the back' it means the guy behind jumped to get the ball and pushed the guy in front.

How would you say
He went over the back of the opponent as much as his own teammate.
What does that mean 'as much'?
Does it mean that both his opponent and a teammate were in front of him and he jumped onto both of them?

Is this said correctly : He went over the back of the opponent as much as his own teammate.

Thats what the commentator said, but they don't always speak correctly.

Thanks
