As long vs. provided

I wonder which one (as long / provided) fit in the blank better? Or do both work?

Peter allows his children to use the Internet, that it's for their homework.

The textbook suggests "as long that" to be correct. But I somehow think "as long that" sounds weird.

Can anyone help? Thanks a lot! [L]

Hi Daisy. The text book is wrong, because of 'that'. The choices are ' provided that it's for their homework' and ' as long as it's for their homework'.
