As large as

Hi!
Please correct the following sentence.

- The angle was as large as 9.4°.

What I want to say is the angle was 9.4° and that it is considered to be large.

The grammar is correct, and I suppose the context might indicate the meaning you want.

But without context, my first thought is that it means the angle varied, up to a maximum of 9.4 degrees.

I have, in the past, when encountering remarkable results in a scientific context, used an exclamation point in parentheses to indicate that the preceding sentence was remarkable in some way.

e.g. "The overall efficiency of the system was approximately 0.005% (!)."

I realize now that I must have subconsciously borrowed it from reading chess games in the newspaper.
